Why we exist
Becoming a parent means facing an endless stream of questions at the moments you have the least energy to read a textbook. Most pregnancy and baby-care content online is either pay-walled, hidden behind a wellness aesthetic, or written for a single language and culture.
BabyLingo is a bilingual product (Brazilian Portuguese and English) built so a parent in São Paulo and a parent in San Francisco can find the same evidence-based answer, in their own language, without an account and without friction.
How we create our content
Every blog post, pregnancy week page, and tool in BabyLingo combines three things:
Research from authoritative sources
We rely on WHO, AAP / HealthyChildren, CDC, Mayo Clinic, and Cleveland Clinic. Citations stay visible at the bottom of each post so you can verify what we say.
AI-assisted writing
We use OpenAI and Google models to structure posts and draft the prose in both Portuguese and English. This lets us cover more topics, faster, and keep the two languages in parity.
Editorial curation
Each post is reviewed and approved before publishing. We update older posts when new guidelines or evidence come out.
We tell you this openly because source traceability matters more to us than pretending a larger editorial team exists. Our mobile app follows the same philosophy — the AI sleep consultant, symptom triage, and routine generator are disclosed as AI features with verifiable sources.
